The Color Dictionary Applied Edition by Seigensha restores painter Sanzo Wada's Color Collection Complete Guide B Edition (1934-1935) and New 500 Design Collection (1938), presenting 72 patterns of multi-color combinations inspired by Japanese seasons and 161 color examples from early Showa period fashion, interiors, and graphic design.

This sequel to the acclaimed Color Dictionary: Taisho and Showa Color Notes continues Wada's pioneering color research. Sanzo Wada established the Japan Standard Color Association (now the Japan Color Research Institute) in the early Showa period and was designated a Person of Cultural Merit. He won the Academy Award for Costume Design for Gate of Hell in 1954 and worked across Western-style painting, film, stage art, and fashion design.

Part of the Visual Bunko series, this A6 volume contains 336 pages of color inspiration from Japan's early modern period. English translations of Sanzo Wada's biography and color names are included.
