Nine years of solitary visits to Yakushima's ancient forests produced this photobook by Yu Yamauchi, a visual record of the dialogue between his inner world and the natural world around him. The third in a series that began on Mount Fuji and crossed Mongolia, it distills something harder to name: the forest as mirror.
